If you’re thinking about getting into essential oils, there are five basic oils – eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint, rosemary and tea tree – that can be used in a LOT of basic recipes.
This headache relief roll-on uses three of them and it’s super easy and quick to make.
You’ll need:
- Carrier oil (I used safflower oil)
- Tea tree oil
- Peppermint essential oil
- Rosemary essential oil
- Vitamin E capsules
- A one-ounce roll-on bottle (I found mine on Amazon)
Put 15 drops of peppermint oil, 5 drops of tea tree essential oil and 5 drops of rosemary essential oil in the roll-on bottle. Use a pin to prick a hole in two vitamin E capsules and squeeze the oil into the bottle. Fill the bottle the rest of the way with the safflower oil and snap the roller ball cap on. Cap the bottle and give it a good shake. That’s it!
Next time you have a tension headache, roll a little on your temples or the back of your neck and massage it in for quick relief.

This is the exact time of the year that I needed to find something like this! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I have been toying with getting some EO recently..maybe it’s time to take the plunge! This sounds so helpful!

The five oils I mentioned in the post make a fantastic starter set. There are so many things you can make with them!
This is great. I’ve been suffering so badly with headaches recently, I am totally going to give this a try, thank so much for the informative post!
I love using Essential oils for headache relief. It makes a world of a difference and helps me get through the day.
I’ve been looking for more and more ways to replace traditional medicine with essential oils. This is a great blend, especially if you can use it as soon as you feel a headache starting. Nips it in the bud!
