A couple years ago one lonely little sprig of wild spearmint hitched a rid with some flowers transplanted from my Mom’s garden. It grew, and it spread, and the second year I had a handful of spindly little plants. And then those grew and spread and…what’s now hanging in my craft room to dry represents roughly a quarter of the plants that have sprouted all over my flower beds. I don’t mind – it smells great and I love having my own spearmint to dry for teas – but I think I may need to corral it next year. It’s taking over!
