Flowers for holidays and special occasion are nice, but my awesome Hubby knows flowers for no reason are my favorites. Aren’t these lovely? What’s your favorite way to celebrate the everyday?
I started this project so long ago that I can’t even remember. The Hubs says it’s been seven years and since he’s generally reliable, let’s go with that. :o) [Read more…]
Eleven squares blocked and ready to assemble, and the last square is on the needles and halfway complete. We literally rang in March with tornado sirens early this morning (I’d say that counts as “in like a lion”!) and I’m determined to have this done before the April showers begin.
Snowdrops are blooming! It’s been a weird, wild, warm Winter here in Northeast Ohio. Things are far more green than normal for late February but it’s still lovely to see the first spring flowers.
Hearts found in nature, DIY chocolate-covered strawberries to share and a sweet, geeky gift from my sweet, geeky hubby. Hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day!
I started a Building Blocks afghan a year and a half ago as part of a class and stalled out 80% of the way through. I unearthed it during the craft room update and finally started working on it again. This is block 11 of 12, so it really shouldn’t take that long to finish. I’m determined to stick with it and get it done in time to actually use it before winter is over.
How about you? Any UFOs lurking in your craft room that you’d like to get done before spring?
Morning sun through my craft room window is a lovely way to start the day. Hope yours is off to a good start, too!
It’s done, it’s done, it’s done!!! The last of the paint has dried, all the furniture has been assembled, all the fabric and supplies have been moved into new storage containers and I have my craft room back. Squeeeee! [Read more…]
One last section of floor to paint (with some help from my Boy), one last bookcase to assemble, a few more boxes of supplies to unload and I’ll be back to crafting in my pretty new space. Squeeeee!!! I’ll be back when it’s done to share photos of the finished room. Can’t wait!
My boy is getting an introduction to the joys of DIY. He’s helped rip out carpet and paint floors, and now we’ve moved on to assembling furniture. Tonight he helped put together the two units that will be the base of my cutting table, and tomorrow we’ll start on the bookshelves. Once he figured out assembling furniture is a lot like building Legos, he was ready to go. Progress on the entire room has been a little slower than I’d like – I’m anxious to be back in my happy place – but it’s still progress!
